Social Saturday, on 7th January 2012, is a place for people to come and have a fun and friendly day out. , cheap food and drink, games for kids and adults alike and a cracking game of rugby too, Social Saturday is the perfect carefree way to start off the New Year. Plus expect extra free stuff for Foursquare users too!
We'll be running a smartphone scavenger hunt around the famous Recreation Ground, and we'll be putting people's rugby skills to the test in Rugby's Ultimate Challenge Kompetition (the RUCK!). The main attraction will be the National League rugby clash between Redruth's Cornish stars and Bristol-based Dings Crusaders, so come and join in with the rest of Cornwall!

Each year Redruth celebrates its most famous citizen, inventor William Murdoch, with an exciting programme of events including children's dance and art procession, all day music and entertainment with Radio Cornwall's Freddy Zapp, a street market with more than 50 stalls, old tyme fair, exhibitions and a variety of live concerts and other events round the town.

A 24 hour `Morse Marathon` Amateur Radio operation at Sennen Cove RNLI Lifeboat Station on 28th and 29th January 2012.
This operation is being held in conjunction with the national RNLI `SOS` Fundraising Event.
The Station and Lifeboats at Sennen Cove will be open to the public on the afternoon of Sunday 29th January 2012.
